Overview
Accurate assessment of joint disorders is an essential component of a successful osteopathic treatment aimed at a return to full function. Proper diagnosis requires a thorough knowledge of the anatomy and biomechanics of joint structures, as well as the pathophysiology and mechanical problems of injury and disease. This course discusses anatomy, biomechanics, and function of all major joints and includes bony anatomy of the region; ligament and capsular anatomy; neurovascular anatomy; muscles and their actions; joint movement and ranges; and the planes in which they are performed
